2) Helps lessen back & neck strain- Pets that have low bowls, especially senior pets may have pain or issues with joints already. Hunching over a bowl creates more pain or may cause new pains in those problem areas like back, neck and leg joints.
3) Preventing regurgitation/vomiting- More common in cats but not uncommon for dogs, is regurgitating after eating. This has to do again with the angle of their body when hunched over a low bowl. Eating at this angle can cause food buildup in the throat causing regurgitation. Elevated bowls help prevent these issues.
